Woodlawn

Northern Kentucky Area

View Active Properties
About
Local Events

Because of its relatively small size, Woodlawn is sometimes referred to as “south Newport”.

Surrounded by Newport, Bellevue and Ft. Thomas in northern Campbell County, the tiny city of Woodlawn is less than .05 square miles. With a population of just 270, it’s part of the greater Northern Kentucky community. While historically it’s been a sleepy bedroom community to its busier nearby neighbors, the completion of I-471 has opened up the possibility of development.

Transportation

I471 and Memorial Parkway are the primary access routes to Woodlawn. The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is 13 miles away in Hebron.

Hospitals

Because of its location, Woodlawn has great access to quality medical care, with St. Elizabeth Hospital East less than 2 miles away in Ft. Thomas, and St. Elizabeth Medical Center just 3 miles away in Covington.

Shopping

While most needs can be met in the city, there’s ample opportunity for shopping in any of the nearby towns. Serious shopaholics have several regional shopping malls within a few minutes drive of Woodlawn.

Recreation

Nearby recreation includes county parks, athletic fields, and golf courses, and of course boating along the Ohio and Licking Rivers.
